These aren’t exhaustive or boxes to fit into, but shared human experiences that can feel overwhelming, confusing, heavy or insufficiently honoured when carried alone.

You may feel alingment with aspects of multiple areas below, as it really can be a complex thing being human.

Feel free to click on each to read more...

Emotional & Inner Experiencing Many people come because they’re struggling with: - Persistent anxiety or intense worry - Low mood or depression - Stress that feels unmanageable - Difficulty regulating emotion or anger - Overthinking, obsessions or compulsive patterns - Loss of confidence or difficulties with self-worth - Feeling numb, stuck, or disconnected These experiences may not always have a neat explanation — and you don’t need one to start exploring them here.

Life, Loss & Change Some concerns arise from what happens in life and the transitions we go through: - Grief, bereavement and loss - Redundancy, work-related stress or retirement - Major life changes, including pregnancy or infertility - Health-related worries, chronic illness, or caring responsibilities - Relationship shifts and family changes Counselling can support you to make sense of the meaning of these experiences, not just the event itself.

Relationships & Identity Human connection — how we find it, lose it, or struggle within it — is a powerful source of joy and pain: - Relationship difficulties, patterns or breakdowns - Issues around sexuality, sexual identity or intimacy - Difficulties relating to self or others - Experiences of bullying, abuse, or betrayal - Navigating cultural, spiritual or identity-related conflicts Here, the focus isn’t on fixing others — it’s on understanding your own experience and relational world.

Trauma, Hardship & Deep Wounds Some challenges come from experiences that were overwhelming or unsafe: - Trauma or post-traumatic stress - Past abuse or prolonged harm - Suicidal feelings or self-harm - Long-standing distress that doesn’t seem to shift You don’t have to talk about everything right away — we go at your pace with care, respect, and genuine presence.

Exploration, Growth & Direction Not all therapy is about crisis. Many people come simply to: - Understand themselves more deeply - Explore personal growth, values and purpose - Navigate existential or spiritual questions - Build life skills or emotional resilience - Truly acknowledge and honour what has gone well, or you've done well Counselling can be a space of clarity, aligning, celebration, not just difficulty.
